Tracking Goalie Statistics
Goalies have specialized statistics that differ from field players. KoachSynk provides dedicated goalie stat tracking for sports like soccer, hockey, and lacrosse.
Goalie-Specific Stats
Common goalie statistics include:
- Saves: Shots stopped by the goalie
- Goals Against: Goals allowed
- Save Percentage: Saves divided by total shots faced
Recording Goalie Stats
As a Coach:
- Go to your team's Stats page
- Select the game
- Find the goalie in the player list
- Enter goalie-specific stats (saves, goals against, etc.)
- If multiple goalies played, record stats for each
- Click Save
Note: Players must be marked as goalies in the roster for goalie stats to appear. Check your roster settings if you do not see goalie stat fields.
Viewing Goalie Stats
Team Goalie Report:
- View all goalies' combined statistics
- Compare save percentages
Individual Goalie Stats:
- Game-by-game breakdown
- Season totals and averages
Setting Up Goalie Tracking
To enable goalie stats for a player:
- Go to your team Roster
- Click on the player
- Set their position to include goalie
- Save the roster
Once marked as a goalie, specialized stat fields will appear when recording game stats.
Tips for Accurate Goalie Stats
- Track shots faced during the game if possible
- Record saves and goals against for each period/half
- Note if goalie was pulled or substituted
- Include minutes played for accurate GAA calculations
