Setting Player Availability

The availability feature lets players and parents indicate whether they can attend upcoming games, practices, and events. This helps coaches plan accordingly.

Who Can Set Availability?

  • Players: Set their own availability
  • Parents/Guardians: Set availability for their children
  • Coaches: View all player availability for planning

Setting Your Availability

On Desktop:

  1. Go to your team's Schedule
  2. Click on an upcoming event
  3. Select your availability status
  4. Optionally add a note
  5. Click Save

On Mobile App:

  1. Open the team schedule
  2. Tap on the event
  3. Tap the availability option
  4. Select your status

Availability Options

Status Meaning
Available Will attend the event
Maybe Uncertain - will confirm later
Unavailable Cannot attend
No Response Has not responded yet

Adding Notes

You can add notes to explain your availability:

  • "Will arrive 15 minutes late"
  • "Need to leave early at 7pm"
  • "Doctor's appointment - will miss"

For Coaches: Viewing Team Availability

To View Availability:

  1. Go to your team's Schedule
  2. Click on any event
  3. View the Availability section
  4. See a summary of who's coming, who's not, and who hasn't responded

Availability Summary Shows:

  • Total players available
  • Total unavailable
  • Total maybes
  • Total no response
  • Individual player statuses with notes
Tip: Send a reminder message to players who haven't responded to important events.

Best Practices

  • Set availability as soon as you know your schedule
  • Update if your plans change
  • Add notes for partial attendance
  • Coaches should check availability before events for planning
