Setting Player Availability
The availability feature lets players and parents indicate whether they can attend upcoming games, practices, and events. This helps coaches plan accordingly.
Who Can Set Availability?
- Players: Set their own availability
- Parents/Guardians: Set availability for their children
- Coaches: View all player availability for planning
Setting Your Availability
On Desktop:
- Go to your team's Schedule
- Click on an upcoming event
- Select your availability status
- Optionally add a note
- Click Save
On Mobile App:
- Open the team schedule
- Tap on the event
- Tap the availability option
- Select your status
Availability Options
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | Will attend the event |
| Maybe | Uncertain - will confirm later |
| Unavailable | Cannot attend |
| No Response | Has not responded yet |
Adding Notes
You can add notes to explain your availability:
- "Will arrive 15 minutes late"
- "Need to leave early at 7pm"
- "Doctor's appointment - will miss"
For Coaches: Viewing Team Availability
To View Availability:
- Go to your team's Schedule
- Click on any event
- View the Availability section
- See a summary of who's coming, who's not, and who hasn't responded
Availability Summary Shows:
- Total players available
- Total unavailable
- Total maybes
- Total no response
- Individual player statuses with notes
Tip: Send a reminder message to players who haven't responded to important events.
Best Practices
- Set availability as soon as you know your schedule
- Update if your plans change
- Add notes for partial attendance
- Coaches should check availability before events for planning
