Understanding Your Team Limits
As an independent coach, your subscription plan determines how many teams you can have.
Active Teams
Active teams are teams you're currently using for the season. Your plan sets a limit on how many active teams you can have at once.
- Trial Period: 1 active team
- Coach Plan (badged "Starter"): 3 active teams — $10/month or $100/year
- Coach Plus Plan (badged "Best Value"): 6 active teams — $15/month or $150/year
Coach Plus is the highest coach tier, so 6 active teams is the maximum available on a coach plan.
Archived Teams
When a season ends, you can archive teams to free up active slots. Archived teams:
- Keep all roster, schedule, and stats history
- Don't count against your active team limit
- Can be viewed but not edited
- Can be unarchived if you have available active slots
Each plan also has its own archived-team limit:
- Coach Plan: 2 archived teams
- Coach Plus Plan: 4 archived teams
These limits appear on each plan card as "Archived Teams" when you view plans.
Checking Your Limits
Your dashboard shows your team count against your plan limit. When you've used all your active slots, the create-team menu shows a "Limit Reached" note, with a tooltip explaining how many active teams your plan allows.
Need More Teams?
If you've reached your limit, you have two options:
- Archive a team you're no longer using
- Upgrade your subscription plan for more active slots
To upgrade, use the View Plans & Subscribe or Upgrade Account button on your dashboard, which takes you to the plan selection page.
