Team Superlatives
Superlatives let teams vote on fun awards at the end of the season—like "Most Improved," "Best Teammate," or "Hardest Worker." It is a great way to celebrate players beyond just statistics.
What Are Superlatives?
Superlatives are team awards that recognize players for qualities that do not show up in stats:
- Most Improved Player
- Best Teammate
- Hardest Worker
- Most Coachable
- Best Attitude
- Most Valuable Player (MVP)
- And custom categories you create
Setting Up Superlatives (Coaches)
To Add Superlatives:
- Go to your team page
- Under the End of Season section, click Setup on the Superlatives row
- Type a superlative name in the New Superlative field
- Click Add Superlative
- Repeat to add as many superlatives as you like—each one appears in the Existing Superlatives list, where you can delete any you no longer want
Copy to other teams: If you coach more than one team, the Setup page includes a Copy Superlatives to Other Teams section. Select your destination teams and copy this team's superlatives over in one step—any superlatives a team already has (matching text) are skipped.
Opening and Closing Voting:
Adding superlatives does not open voting. Voting is a separate manual toggle on the team page, in the End of Season section. Click Voting is Off (Turn On) to open voting, and Voting is On (Turn Off) to close it again. There is no scheduled voting period—you turn it on and off whenever you want.
Voting Process
Who can vote: Only players and managers on the team can vote. Coaches and guardians cannot vote—coaches view the Results page instead.
For Voters (Players and Managers):
- Go to the team page when voting is open
- Click Vote for Superlatives
- For each superlative, select the player you want to vote for
- Optionally add one write-in: type your own superlative text (up to 100 characters) and pick a player for it
- Click Submit Final Votes
Note: You vote one time only. You submit a single ballot covering every superlative (plus your optional write-in), and your selections cannot be changed after you submit.
Viewing Results (Coaches)
- From the team page, click Results on the Superlatives row to open the Results page
- Coaches can open Results at any time—even while voting is still open
- Each superlative shows its nominees with a vote-count badge for each one
- Hover over a nominee to see exactly which voters voted for that player (results are not anonymous to coaches)
- A separate Write-In Votes section lists any custom write-in superlatives that were submitted
- Winners can be announced at end-of-season events
Best Practices
- Add your superlatives, then turn on voting near the end of the season
- Give everyone at least a few days to vote before turning voting off
- Remind the team to participate
- Keep categories positive and inclusive
- Announce winners at a team party or final practice
