What a Team Manager Does

A team manager helps the coach run day-to-day team tasks — posting messages, tracking availability, logging game stats, and keeping the roster organized — without full coaching access. Managers are people who have been given manager permissions on a specific team. You choose exactly what each manager can manage (see Manager Permissions below).

Assigning a Manager (Coaches)

  1. Open your team and go to Managers.
  2. Search for the person by first name, last name, or email.
  3. If they already exist, click Assign as Manager next to their name in the search results.
  4. If no match is found, fill in the short new-person form (first name, last name, and email required) and click Create and Invite Manager. This creates their profile and sends them an invitation email to join the team.
  5. Use the On Roster / Off Roster toggle if the manager should also appear as a player on the roster.

Manager Permissions (What They Can Manage)

On the Managers page, each assigned manager has a Can Manage set of switches. Turn on only what you want that person to handle — each switch is independent and applies to this team only:

  • Stats — input game stats. On by default for every manager; turn it off to revoke.
  • Schedule — create, edit, and delete events.
  • Roster — set game-day status, jersey numbers, and positions.
  • Attendance — take roll call for practices and games.
  • Polls — create and manage team polls/forms and see their results.

The four optional permissions (Schedule, Roster, Attendance, Polls) start off until you turn them on. A manager always keeps normal view access to the team (chat, schedule, roster, and so on) — these switches only control what they can change. When you grant a capability, it appears in a Manage section on the manager's team home, on both mobile and desktop.

Need More Than This? Make Them a Coach

If someone needs full coaching access (everything above, plus drills, practice plans, the incident log, and more), use the Make Coach button next to their name on the Managers page. This creates a separate coach account for them and emails an invitation; their existing manager/player account is left unchanged.

Removing a Manager

In the Assigned Team Managers list, click the red trash/remove icon and confirm. This unassigns them from the team but does not delete their account.

Seeing Managers Across Your Organization (Org Admins)

Org admins can review every manager in the organization under People › Managers. That page is a read-only overview showing each manager and the teams they manage. To add or remove a manager, open the relevant team's Managers page.
